For young adults
Heart-Centered Impact Coaches
We cannot achieve our mission without the involvement of young people themselves. After all, young people are each other's biggest influencers. That is why we train young adults to become
Heart-Centered Impact Coaches (HCIC's)
What is a HCIC?
Heart-Centered Impact Coaches (HCIC) are young adult volunteers (ages 18+) who are trained to be an active part of our foundation.
HCIC's support youth in 3 ways:
Group leaders and small group facilitators
Support, motivate and guide youth during our workshops, seminars and participatory activities
Mentorship
Guide youth in carrying out projects that make an impact in the community
Buddies and role models
Become a buddy for youth, empower positive decision-making and create a lasting impact
How to become a Heart-Centered Impact Coach
We believe strongly in the saying: "It takes a village to raise a child". If you are called to give back to your community, especially youth, consider becoming a Heart-Centered Impact Coach.
As a Heart-Centered Impact Coach, you connect with youth during our Impact Activities, inspire positive decision-making, and create a lasting impact.
To become a Heart-Centered Impact Coach, you will need to:
- Be at least18 years old or older
- Assist during our youth-focused activities for a minimum of 12 hours during a year
- Attend 3 mandatory introductory courses
- Follow peer coaching and evaluation sessions
What you receive as a Heart-Centered Impact Coach
Your Heart-Centered Impact Coach training phase includes 3 introductory and preparatory workshops and training to support you in your role:

1
Personal Development Workshop: I AM
The saying "before you can mentor others, you have to be able to mentor yourself" is central to our Heart-Centered Impact Coaches. The introductory course "I AM" dives into important aspects that make each of us who we are: our values and principles. You will have the opportunity to look at your own values and principles and how this influences and inspires daily personal and professional decisions.
2
Group Dynamics & Facilitation
The Group Dynamics and Facilitation training offers you the knowledge, skills and attitude to be able to successfully support youth during our activities. You will get to know about group dynamics, effective leadership in groups, and how to support youth during our activities.
3
Volunteering in the 21st Century: Professional Attitude and Skills Trainings
Volunteering is a work from the heart. This workshop provides insight into the professional attitude and skills to support you in your role as a volunteer with HCLF.
